Thanksgiving Food Drive

Each November, club members assist with food collection and/or distribution for Thanksgiving.  Rotarians bring food to our meetings and it is delivered to a collection point; make a cash donation toward perishable items that are purchased separately; help to prepare baskets; or, volunteer to deliver baskets. 

Food and donations collections are taken at Rotary meetings in November.  Baskets are prepared about a week before Thanksgiving and delivered just before Thanksgiving.

In support of the very fine project run by the Congregational Church, the club donated 270 pounds of potatoes in 2001, to be used in food baskets that were distributed to well over 200 families in the local area..
